Today was great, I got my guitar amplifier plugged in (its been collecting dust for 3 months now), I played some music, and was planning on practicing drawing.
Then I ate some greasy pizza and drank a few beers and now I’ve lost all motivation and inspiration. I almost never want to do anything and earlier today I did, but now I feel as though I ruined it. How do you get back up after such a downfall if you ever have one?

What always seems to help motivate me is a Japanese proverb.
Fall down seven times, stand up eight.
Just remember that you DID do something productive, and there’s nothing stopping you from doing something productive again.
Also, whenever you’re feeling down, just do what I do. Whenever I’m feeling down, I do one of three things:
1) feel sorry for myself (this one’s not much fun),
2) remind myself that things can always get so much worse (this one’s alot of fun), or,
3) make a list of things to be happy about.
Example of #2:
“Well, so far today, I haven’t been robbed, beaten, or attacked by a dog…
I haven’t inexplicably gone blind, deaf, or lost an arm…
My house hasn’t been bombed…
There hasn’t ben a shooting at my school yet…
A garbage truck passing me on the street hasn’t strategically fallen apart and drenched me in poo…
Yeah, things could definitely be alot worse.”
You can sometimes do #2 and #3 at the same time, they are similar, in a way.
I hope this helps!
Wait until the poison your put into your body is washed out. Drink lots of fluids (not beer), eat plenty of fruits and veggies, go out for a jog and plug back in.
Learn another language.
Start with Italian, and then listen to an Italian opera.
Now, there’s a challenge!
Think about what you want in life. Whether it is money, fame, a certain girl/guy, making your parents happy, overcoming everyone that said that you wouldnt make it, helping people who are less fortunate, live your dreams, etc. That usually works for me. Sometimes I just feel tired, and like I just do not want to do anything at all. I just feel useless. Sometimes bad things just keep piling up on me. I have cronic headaches, money problems, problems with school, etc, etc. and I feel like there is no way out. But everytime something else piles on I just think that if there is a God, he is testing me. and each and every time I do not do anything about the bad things that are piled on me, he piles something else on there because I need to be able to overcome anything and I can not just wait and hope it goes away. I need to get up and actually do something.
Also, you could just think about the people that are so impoverished that even if they had alot of motivation and inspiration they will almost never have the chance to even really do anything with it. You do have that chance, you obviously have more opportunity than they do so get up and use it.
