This q. belongs under “Poetry”. Imagism sought to reinvigorate poetry through a complete economy of language, with a focus on poetry as SONG. Ezra Pound claimed to be the movement’s founder; another member was Hilda Doolittle, who wrote under initials HD. Started just before WWI… part of “modernism” . Pound later did propaganda for Fascist Italy — Nancy Cunard never forgave him, others claimed he went nuts. Still a brilliant poet tho, as was HD Pound idolized the French troubadours, HD was enamored of the Greeks.
