What historical examples that prove the success of Machiavelli’s work?

That is an interesting and thought provoking question! Off the top of my head. Napolean, Adolf Hitler, Stalin, and so on. I don’t know if they actually read it, but they are considered “machiavellian” leaders
Niccolò di Bernardo dei Machiavelli didn’t write the “Art of War”. Sun Tzu did. Machiavelli wrote “The Prince” and “Discourses on Livy”
Now, Sun Tzu’s “Art of War” is one of the most influential books of military strategy to this day. Sun Tzu’s ideas on warfare continue to be put to use. Napoleon was influenced by it, Mao Zedong, General Pervez Musharraf, Vo Nguyen Giap, and General Douglas MacArthur all drew from it too. It even influenced “Operation Desert Storm”.
“The Prince” or “Il Principe” written by Machiavelli was influential as well. Napoleon, again, was influenced by “The Prince” and wrote extensivly about it. Adolf Hitler was another one who used “The Prince” to take and hold power, rather well I might add, until the Allies were able to defeat him. Mussolini also wote about “The Prince” and most likely used it to take power in Italy. Others who were influenced by the book include Shakespeare, Sir Walter Raleigh, Francis Bacon, and Da Vinci.
Machiavelli’s other work, The Discourses on Livy (Discorsi sopra la prima deca di Tito Livio, Discourses on the First Ten Books of Titus Livy), outlines the workings of a Republic, and is hailed as one of the most important works on the republic. It explains the republic, of which some of the most influential countries in the world are. The United States of America, The United Kingdom, France, Canada, even Germany are all Republics.
