I am trying to lose about 10 pounds in 2 months, which I think is a pretty good goal. The reason is that I am going on a cruise. I just cant find the motivation. I am a teenager if that helps. What will I need to do to lose 10 pounds? I come from a family where pasta is eaten all the time. And alternatives? Any help greatly appreciated.

My girlfriend has tried most things to lose weight but nothing has worked just as well as the wu yi tea that she drinks, it’s been covered on CNN and Fox News. She melted away 6 pounds in five weeks. She buys it from a friend at work but I discovered this site in Google; - they have a free trial on at the moment, maybe they’re worth a try?
Watch Richard Simmons videos.
Dont drink soda, avoid candy, drink a lot of water and don’t eat after 6 pm.
Find a partner. Good music?

Discipline.. that is an important factor when losing weight.. You need the discipline to say no to bad foods.. and over eating. Keep the image you want of your body in your mind at all times. Reducing calorie intake will help to get to your goal. And if you are eating pasta all the time.. cut your portions in half and eat whole wheat pasta..

Don’t think about it as 10 pounds in 2 months. Break it down so that it is 5 pounds this month or something like that. This way it seems less daunting, and you are more likely to stay motivated.
Whatever you do, stay active! Don’t watch TV or go on myspace for 3 hours. Run, run, run, and run some more! Not only does it burn calories but it actually gives you energy too, which makes it easier to stay active and fit. You’ll be surprised how much better you do with school work and non-physical tasks as well.
whole wheat pasta is better for you. watch portion sizes, that’s usually the biggest problem for most people.
Buy an outfit or pair of jeans (or swimsuit since it is a cruise if it will be nice where you are going) in a size smaller than what you wear and make it your goal to fit into that new item.
Well, try walking, a lot. Drink lots of water, and don’t have seconds of pasta, and don’t put a lot on your plate. Try to eat something healthy. Like broccoli, salad(eat the salad before the pasta, that way you don’t overeat). And try lifting weights. And no you will not bulk up like guys do. We women simply do not have the testosterone levels men do. And do not eat before you go to bed. Eat a couple hours before you go to bed.
James S has it right on. I would only add……eat until you are not HUNGRY any more, not feeling full. If you feel full, you’ve eaten too much. Spread your meals out to about five to six a day and make them smaller. also increase your physical activity. 30 minutes a day-even if it’s just a walk in the park, will help.
I lost 33 pounds with Weight Watchers when I was 16. It’s great because it doesn’t make you use alternatives if you don’t want to. They have a “Points” counting system and all you have to do is measure and use serving sizes. Try to use things that are lower in calories, like whole wheat pasta (which is really, really good!) and 100 calorie packs instead of candy bars. Depending on your weight, age, and height, you can have a certain amount of “Points”. I’d recommend signing up for e-tools, their online service, or joining. DDR is also a really fun way to exercise and get slim, if you were looking for an exercise opportunity.
Going to the meetings helps with motivation a lot. But, if you don’t want to spend money, chances are you can find someone you know who is on Weight Watchers or knows someone you is and can borrow their stuff. I hope this helps! Good luck!
I recommend to everyone to NEVER set weight goals. Weight varies so much that sometimes it’ll make you really happy, and most of the time it’ll get you really down.
Instead, determine fitness goals for yourself. Like, this week I’ll run four times a week (depending on your fitness level) and I’ll run 2 miles in 8.5 minute miles. Then next week you’ll run the same 2 miles in 8 minute miles, or run 3 miles in 8.5 minute miles.
In addition to cardio, don’t forget to round out your exercise with pushups, sit-ups, pull-ups, etc.
Lastly, watch what you eat. Stay away from fatty foods and junk food all-together.
I don’t think it is very Heathy for u to loose so much Weightt at a young let alone any age. u should try loosing 10 pounds in 5 months. it is not good for ur body to gthroughou such a huge change in such little time explesily if ur a teen, and also if ur (not to sound mean just trying to help) big, then u could have left over saggy skin. Just try to eat right and not so many fatty snack’s, when ur going to eat a snack make it healthy like an apple with some chesse or celery and raisins. try to exersie go out and joge, or u can do it in side ur home if u like, try doing sit up’s when ur waching T.V or doing scwats. hope it helps!
i´m in the same problem jaja but im a guy…..whell whot i trye to do is think about the girl that drivesmy crazy and i say…_:-if i lose weight maybe i start to likeshe….or…..if i get stronger and in better physical appereance that shes boyfriend she will pickme…that stuf feelme up
hasta luego ojala te ayude
I dunno if it’ll work for you but if I need motivation to do weight training I exercise whilst watching an inspirational film about people succeeding in a sport or job after training hard.
The films that motivated me were
Annapolis
The Guardian
Rocky
Never Back Down
Gridiron Gang
You may not enjoy the films but it might inspire you to start training.
Pay more attention to your inner talk. During a phase of not wanting to exercise, I began saying to myself over and over “I exercise everyday”, “I love to exercise”, “I am getting lean and tone”. Within about 2 weeks, I just found the motivation to exercise and I’ve been sticking with it for 5 weeks now. I still talk this way to myself, and I swear it keeps me going.
If you monitor the way you talk to yourself, you’ll probably find that it’s negative and self fullfilling. I did anyways, and I have seriously turned things around by stating only positive affirmations to myself. It’s called the Law of Attraction…we are what we think.
Well pasta is good if you are working out like a beast, as it is str8 carbs. If you were wanting to lose weight, try eating less… obviously.
Something you can do to lose weight is buy something that will keep you interested in completing this. for me when I wanted to lose weight, I bought a nice pair of fitted running shoes. that kept my motivation up.
Also, try and look at it in the smaller scope. Not 10 lbs in 2 months. 5 lbs per month…. or 1.25 pounds per week. The 1st few weeks will probably not yield that much. but the rest will definitely start coming off.
As well as what you are doing, please note that WOMEN and SMALL FRAMED people tend to lose weight slower. Being a teenager kinda helps. But If you can just be disciplined and keep in mind that you will be going on a cruise and there should be alot of hot guys there…. that could be some motivation for you as well!
