What is the proper way to write “motivation” statement? (for a Doctors Without Borders logistics position) ?

I’m applying for a Doctors without Borders position (logistics/in the field ) and I want to give myself the best chance to get in. I think my resume is strong, but there are several essay style questions. Please advise or recommend a way to write. I’m smart, capable and a hard worker…but not the greatest writer.

A good format is:
Introduction
A significant event in your life that motivates you
Why this position
Additional Paragraph if needed
Conclusion
Introduction could be “Why medicine”, etc.
