What is Motivation? - Everything

What is Motivation?
Is motivation the key ingredient to getting what you want in life? In reality, motivation is an inner process that helps you to move toward your goal in definite motion, with purpose and vision. Drive and determination are two qualities necessary to experience real motivation.
Some people allow different things to motivate them. It could be your job, your marriage, your family, your income or your wealth. What is motivation to you? If you can find out what is motivates you, then you can have tap into your true self and hone in on exactly what you need to do to succeed.
Without motivation you will go nowhere in life and end up like most people, running to the movie store to rent enough movies, or to the bar on Friday to help you zone out until Monday. Let me know how many truly successful people you find at a bar?
Some people have learned what motivation is by seeking to improve themselves and creating a vision that is realistic as well as having an inner desire that outweighs the challenges.
Since motivation is a parallel to the word, “move,” lack of motivation is when your life is at a standstill. This equates to fear of failure and what keeps most people from doing anything significant in their lives.
You can tell a motivated person when you see one. They have that sparkle in their eye and they are always looking for new challenges and ways to grow. Growth is synonymous to motivation because there isn’t really a stopping point of “all right, I have done enough it is time to just sit around and do nothing.” Motivation is ongoing as you will find that successful people always have something that motivates them. They know that there motivation is what helps shape the very world that we live in.
Staying motivated is not necessarily easy, however, especially when we face obstacles or uninvited trouble that dampens our spirit. Negative thoughts and anxiety come into play and we can become unmotivated and doubtful about our future.
However, there are some people who have learned how to pick up the pieces and use their challenges as a stepping-stone to move forward. That is what makes these people successful. They view failure as a lesson in life and never see themselves as a victim.
What is Self-Motivation To You?
If you are a person who is disciplined, goal-oriented, and organized, it is quite likely that you have the skills to motivate yourself. It is possible that you have realized what motivation is and have used it to become the person that you are today.
Self-motivated people know that there is no simple solution to becoming motivated after a disappointment, but they also know that if they can beat the odds, then they will be stronger the next time another obstacle comes along.
Self-motivated individuals realize that their thoughts are what control their emotions. Learning how to nurture their thoughts into a positive outcome helps them to pull themselves together and keep focused on their long-term goals instead of the temporary situation that is plaguing them.

How to Become the Success You Desire to be

Successful people take action and are confident about their decisions even if they don’t know what the outcome will be. They are decisive and willing to take risks.
Successful people enjoy their life no matter what circumstances they find themselves in. They accept the small things in life and give gratitude for them. They treat every day as a gift and not take it for granted. So they do all they can do for that day. They live in the present and not worry about the future.
Learning to be flexible when change comes takes precedence over trying to change the situation to adapt to you when it seems impossible to change it. Successful people take responsibility for their own actions. They don’t blame anyone else. They look at change as an opportunity for something greater and try to use it as a stepping-stone to go to the next lever.
Never give up if you want to be successful. You must have the tenacity to overcome and move on to the next thing. Keep motivating yourself and focus on what is good rather than the bad that happened to you.
Other people are important to successful people. They reach out to others and show kindness. They are not loners because they know that people are important to their success.
Don’t entertain self-pity. Live for today, don’t look back at the past and remember that tomorrow will take care of itself. This is how successful people think and live their lives.
Successful people dream big. Their goals are big goals. They challenge themselves and focus on using their vision to keep their dreams alive.
Coaches and mentors are an asset to the successful person. They realize that “no man is an island.” They are not afraid to ask for help.
People who want to be successful are open to learn new things. They don’t mind making the huge step outside of their comfort zone. They think long-term and seek knowledge through books, tapes, coaching, and from other people that they meet.
Do not procrastinate. Procrastination is the worst enemy of success. Being indecisive and not wanting to act quickly is absolutely unacceptable to the successful person.
Here are some quick tips to the path of your success:
1. Write your vision down. Know exactly what you want in life.
2. Set many long-term goals. Don’t worry if they seem too much for you to achieve.
3. Make immediate plans to take action. Create a sense of urgency.
4. Take a look at your vision board every day to remind yourself what is important and why you need to accomplish what you set forth to do.
5. Take at least three steps each day to accomplish your short-term goals. Your short-term goals usually get you closer to your long-term goals.
6. Discipline is one of the attributes of success. Don’t let negative people get in your space.
7. Respect and value time.
8. Be focused and live in the present.
9. Finish the entire task that you start. Do not leave unfinished business. It takes longer to complete.
10. Persistent and Perseverance are the two “P’s” that will get you to your successful destination.
11. Give yourself a reward each time you complete a task toward getting closer to your success.
12. Keep dreaming and you will finally wake up to find it there.
Cheers to your success. It can happen to you too. Don’t think it belongs to the other person. It is yours depending on how bad you want it.

How to Be More Successful?
Posted by echan76 under Motivational
No Comments
Fear is probably the biggest factor holding people from success today. Most of us are not willing to take any risks to be successful. Now I am not saying you should stake your financial future and put a second mortgage on your home to be successful, but neither am I saying you shouldn’t. If the goals and your commitment are big enough you have to do what it takes to get you there.
Fear is usually a matter of not understanding something enough. Educate yourself on every aspect of what you want to do, understand what it takes to be successful in your field and then DO IT. Make sure that you understand it as well as you can, this will help alleviate fear. Lack of knowledge about your field can lead to failure. Focus on the things you can change, or influence and work in those areas. Fear of things you cannot change is simply a waste of your time. Take action and start to move forward. Advance on the fear daily and it will begin to retreat.
Pressure from family and friends is another thing that can really hold someone back. Family and friends are very well meaning and sometimes they can advise us and “save us from ourselves” so to speak, but most of the time when we share our ideas with family and friends they get scared for us because we are so excited and they advise us against the venture because they don’t want to see us hurt. They are well meaning, but if you want to be successful you will have to be able to either keep your distance from the negative people or you will have to be able to look them in the face and thank them for sharing and they move ahead with your decision without letting their fears poison your excitement and drive.
Do not allow others to make your decisions for you unless they are where you want to be. If you want to find success you will have to change what you are doing and go against what they are doing. Make a stand for yourself.
Since you have always done something a certain way and it worked reasonably well you are comfortable with it, but if it’s not getting you the results you really want you may have to break the mold and do something a lot different to find success.
Most people have habits that keep them from being successful. Be willing to break those habits and replace them with new more profitable ones. It takes 21-30 days to develop a new habit. Make a commitment to change just one thing a month and you will see improvements immediately. If you want different results you are going to have to take different actions.
How much do you really want to be successful? Do you really care? Lack of true commitment is a real killer for success. You may think it sounds great to make lots of money every month, but doing what it takes to get there is another thing altogether.
Do you really care enough to make a commitment, take action and get things moving? This is crucial to your success. You need to really take a look at your current situation and decide if you have what it takes to be successful or if you just have what it takes to dream about being successful. There is a big difference between those two.
Do you see yourself as successful? If you see yourself negatively you will have a tough time overcoming that and being successful. Make a list of what you want to be and then turn those things into positive statements about yourself. Your list may look like this:
I am motivated.
I am organized.
I am decisive.
I am successful.
I am educated.
I am happy.
You get the idea from that list that it can include anything you wish to be. Start going over that list and change the habits that will make those statements true and say those true statements to yourself. This will change your mindset and your success will increase as you begin to see yourself as successful. When you start seeing yourself as successful others will see that too.
No matter what you do for work if you are willing to change yourself and do whatever it takes you will be successful. Being successful takes action, not just wishful thinking. Expect opposition and handle it so that you can keep moving forward and create a successful future for you and your family. When you are willing to make changes in your life to move toward success you cannot help but find it. Take the first step today!

3 Fantastic Tips to the Road of Success
Posted by echan76 under Self Help

1. Make success a ‘must’ achieve in your life instead of just dream. Every successful people know that if they want to be successful, they will have to put in 100% commitment and make success a ‘must’ for them. When you make something a ‘must’ achieve, you will do whatever it takes to achieve it. So ask yourself, are you willing to do whatever it takes to achieve success? Is achieving success in your life something a ‘must’ or just a dream?
2. Get out of your comfort zone if you want to be successful. Success will never come automatically, you will have to put in real effort to make it come true. Hence, you need to get out of your comfort zone. As long as you stay in your comfort zone, you will never improve and you will never take the necessary action. There is no free lunch in this world; you will have to sacrifice your time and energy to achieve the things that you want in your life.
3. Never give up no matter what happened. This is one of the most crucial factors that are going to determine your success. If you give up, you will never achieve the things that you want. Therefore, do not give up even if you fail to achieve success. Instead, change your strategies and treat failure as feedback. You fail because you are using the wrong strategies. Keep on trying with different strategies until you achieve what you want. This is the main recipe to success.
If you notice, the above tips are not ‘secrets’. Yes, success requires no secrets but hard work and smart work. You will need to put in a lot of effort in achieving the things you want in your life. Do exactly just like what successful people do, and you will be just like them.
